A candidate can apply for only one Indian Bank Specialist Officers post and not more than one application should be submitted by any candidate. In case of multiple Indian Bank Specialist Officers Applications only the latest valid (completed) application will be retained and the application fee/ intimation charges paid for the other multiple registration(s) will stand forfeited.  

INDIAN BANK SO Eligibility Criteria:

A) Nationality/Citizenship

A candidate must be either i) a citizen of India or ii) a subject of Nepal or iii) a subject of Bhutan or iv) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India or v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar (formerly Burma), Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika),Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India. 

Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) or (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India. A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the examination/ interview conducted by the Bank but on final selection the offer of appointment may be given only after the eligibility certificate from the Government of India in this regard is submitted.

B) INDIAN BANK SO AGE, EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATION ANDPOST QUALIFICATION WORKEXPERIENCE (as on 01.01.2023)

Indian Bank SO Chief Manager (Credit ): Age limit (Min -29, Max-40) , Senior Manager (Credit)- Age limit (Min -27, Max-38), Manager (Credit) - Age limit (Min -25, Max-35)

CA / ICWA Or

MBA (Finance) or equivalent qualification from reputed institutions

Experience for Chief Manager (Credit) : Minimum 7 years of work experience in Credit / Finance in a Bank / FIs

Experience for Senior Manager (Credit) : Minimum 5 years of work experience in Credit / Finance in a Bank / FIs

Experience for Manager (Credit) : Minimum 3 years of work experience in Credit / Finance in a Bank / FIs

PROBATION AND CONFIRMATION: The selected candidates in Scale I posts will be on probation for a period of 2 years from the date of joining. Selected candidates in Scale II and III posts will be on probation for a period of 1 year from the date of joining. Their confirmation in the Banks service will be decided in terms of the provisions of Indian Bank Officers Service Regulations, 1979.

Depending upon the number of applications received, Bank at its discretion will decide on the mode of selection viz.

1. Shortlisting of applications followed by interview or

2. Written / Online Test followed by Interview

Payment of fees is can be made between 16/02/2023 to 28/02/2023. Even if the last date for registration is extended at the discretion of the Bank for reasons whatsoever, the dates for payment of fees will remain unchanged.

INDIAN BANK SO CALL LETTERS: Call letters for the Indian Bank Specialist Officers Test/ Interview will be issued to eligible candidates through email or through Bank website only. No hard copy of the call letter/ Information Handout etc. will be sent by post/ courier.
